Stefon Diggs and Buffalo Bills Reopen Talks on Potential Reunion
Buffalo, NY. The Buffalo Bills may soon reunite with a familiar star as negotiations with veteran wide receiver Stefon Diggs have reportedly reopened.
League sources indicate that discussions between the Bills and Diggs’ camp have intensified in recent days as the veteran receiver prepares to hit the open market following his expected release from the New England Patriots.
Diggs spent the 2025 season in New England after signing a three-year, $63.5 million contract, but the Patriots are now expected to move on after just one year.
Despite the short tenure, Diggs remained highly productive, recording 85 receptions for 1,013 yards and four touchdowns while helping quarterback Drake Maye continue his development.
Now attention has shifted back to Buffalo, where Diggs previously formed one of the most explosive quarterback-receiver partnerships in the league with Josh Allen.
During his original run with the Bills, Diggs served as the centerpiece of the offense and consistently ranked among the league’s most productive wide receivers.
His chemistry with Allen helped transform Buffalo into a perennial Super Bowl contender and defined the identity of the team’s passing attack.
Since Diggs was traded away in 2024, the Bills have struggled to find a true No. 1 receiver capable of commanding the same level of defensive attention. That lingering need has kept the door open for a potential reunion.
Sources around the league now believe both sides are open to exploring a deal that would bring Diggs back to Buffalo and immediately restore explosiveness to the offense.
Before the negotiations gained momentum, Diggs shared a brief farewell message following news of his release from New England.
“THANK YOU for a hell of a year. We family forever.”
If the deal is finalized, Buffalo would reunite Allen with one of his most trusted playmakers, instantly restoring one of the most dangerous quarterback-receiver connections in the NFL.
